Dr. Jia Shen is an Associate Professor and Chair of Computer Information Systems in the College of Business Administration at Rider University. She holds the Ph.D. in Information Systems from the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), the M.S. in Information Systems from NJIT, and the B.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from the Beijing University of Technology. She was an Assistant Professor at Rider University from 2007 to 2011, and an Assistant Professor at the New York Institute of Technology from 2005 to 2007. Her current research interests include Social Computing, Interaction Design, Human Computer Interaction, Online Learning, and Ubiquitous Computing.   Dr. Shen's teaching interests include Human Computer Interaction, Management Information Systems, E-commerce, and Database Management Systems.  For a media report on her academic and related experiences, please refer to this articke from the News@Rider.
